Father Ryan Arts Center
Father Ryan Arts Center
The arts revival of McKees Rocks started here.
Opened in 2008 as an initiative of the McKees Rocks CDC, the Father Ryan Arts Center is a $4.2M state-of-the-art facility on the Chartiers Avenue business district, providing unmatched resources across artistic education, enrichment, and entertainment. It offers classes, recording studios, performances,
and exhibitions — for students and artists of every age.
As the first anchor of what has become the Sto-Rox Arts & Entertainment District, the center helped prove that culture could be a driver of neighborhood revitalization — a thesis later borne out by the Parkway Theater and the restored Roxian.
